About the Researchers
Jessica Merolli, PhD
Lead Investigator
Dr. Merolli is an expert in the field of immigration and settlement policy, with experience in community-based research projects, and peer-led interview methods. She has published on the labour market experiences of immigrant women in the GTA, and on the role of ethno-racial communities in the settlement sector in Hamilton. She holds a PhD in Political Science from McMaster University. She is currently serving as the Chair of the Canadian Political Science Association Women’s Caucus.

Lisa Droogendyk, PhD
Co-Investigator
Dr. Lisa Droogendyk is an expert in social identity and intergroup relations. Her research has considered responses to inequality among students from a variety of marginalized groups, including international students. She has also extensive experience with quantitative methods and survey design.
